Sales Academy Associate

About the Academy Programme:

In this Programme you will learn about the sales cycle from opportunity discovery to closure and all in between. To be successful, you will build relationships with customers and business partners and understand Avaya’s internal processes and sales supporting systems. A senior level colleague will support you in this learning process. You will be actively developing your (technical) selling skills along with overall product and solution knowledge.

With a dedicated mentor, you will have regular reviews and a network within the business to support your development. You will have the opportunity to shadow sales professionals and get close to our customers & partners to understand and address their business needs.

Senior level professionals will share with you the entire sales cycle, how to manage customer and partner meetings and build relationships necessary to be effective in this fast-paced business. Creativity, passion and technology vision have to be part of your DNA. You will be immersed into a truly global environment and you will work virtually with international teams.

As part of the Global Sales Development Programme, the Sales Academy Associate will be teaming up with other Academy Associates across Europe and the AMEA region in a virtual team. To build an international network in the company, you will get the opportunity to attend round table sessions with senior leaders.

Upon graduation, (Technical) Sales roles in the following areas will be available: Sales, Pre-Sales (Sales Engineering), Professional Services, Cloud, and Services Sales.

The successful candidate will have:

Undergraduate or graduate degree or equivalent relevant industry experience, preferably in a technical field related to Informatics. For the more Technical roles following this programme, we are looking for candidates with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree or comparable level in Business Informatics, Computer Science/ Software Engineering or related studies and 1 to 3 years of experience.

Experience or exposure to Cloud Services and Technologies will be an advantage. Knowledge of software development, Java, Javascript, web development, .NET, Agile/scrum methodology etc. is desired.

·      For this role you must be willing to travel 10-20% of time

·      Language: fluent in German language (both written and spoken) and strong business English (both written and spoken)

·      Preferably in possession of a driver’s license (normal cars)

·      Ideally You will be based in Frankfurt or Munich

·      In addition to interviews, an assessment may be part of the hiring process.
